Help me help my friend...

Let me give you the scenario....

A good friend of mine on my list had and XBL Gold account and a huge Gamerscore etc. Unfortunately, he was unable to get online for a period of 130 days (last checked on my Friends List) so he just got back online but had to make another account due to his account "expiring" during that time he was offline.

Unfortunately, he told me that MS said he couldn't get his old account back, and basically he just lost all his gamerscore, games played, etc for his system so he made a new name.

Is this true? Is there anything he can do?

His OLD name was jcdc69.
His NEW name is jcdc96 now.

I just wanted to see and try to help him if he can get back all his info, etc. Anything he can do?

okay he should be able to get it back

tell him to go to www.xbox.com and see if he can sign into the e-mail account he used with jcdc69 account if that will let him in then if you go under manage profile you can put a code in for your live gold or ms points

that way you don't have to sign in on your xbox and it once the points or live code is added it should allow you to get on, on your xbox

I'm sure. Compared to yours, I can say that, but that's not the point of this. His old account means a lot to him as I'm sure if something happened to where you lost your Gamerscore and all you've worked for, you'd be a little bent out of shape about it...

Been trying to get in touch with him all day and have been waiting on him to get online...

I have sent him a message to his system so I'm sure he'll get it. I hope he tries it as I told him to get back at me if it works... OR NOT.

I appreciate all the help that you and everyone on this site have done to help me help him... I'll try to keep you posted.

your welcome, I just can't imagine MS locking you out of your account like that, I mean I understand not being able to sign on through XBOX .. also, do you know if he purchased a one year gold account for his new GT because I hope not, he won't be allowed to add that one year over to his old one if that's what happens, hopefully he just used a 1 mth or something

My GUESS is that once he started a new account it's to late. He needs to call in and discuss his issue. He should be able to save the arcade games if any that were paid for and on the hard drive (unless cleared) . Let us know how it turns out. He'll get the points back over time ( but it hurts to loose those points, if your into points ) good luck..
