Anyway, Microsoft has dropped the now-continued HD-DVD add-on drive to the 360 down to $50. Since the 360 in and of itself is an upscaling DVD player, it seems sorta pointless to purchase the drive for that reason. Since it uses USB, however, it is possible to connect to your computer either through USB, or the drive can be removed from the enclosure and installed internally in your computer via a Mini ATAPI to IDE adapter. The offer for five free HD-DVD titles by mail is still valid until February 28th, as well.

Now that the Bly-Ray system seems to be top dog I might get one, but my DVD played upscales so it will be a while before I get one.

Hey which store had the 5 for $20 deal? I was thinking about buying the HD DVD player for cheap especially if I could get the movies for hella cheap. Blue Ray discs are like 30 bucks and they came out with a bunch of HD DVD movies before they discontinued it.
