Gather round Gears fans!

Whilst browsing Wikipedia the other day I happened to stumble on an interesting bit of news that definitely excites me, and hopefully others.

Karen Traviss's recently finished sequel to "Gears of War: Aspho Fields" is set to be released in book stores on July 28th, 2009.

"Gears of War: Jacinto's Remnant" is a direct sequel to Aspho and takes place in between Gears of War 2 and Gears of War 3. The plot mainly focuses on the series main heroes, Delta Squad, as they and the rest of the COG try to find a new safe haven while simultaneously fending off the remaining Locust Horde.

Jacinto's Remnant is the second book of an expected trilogy. It will have 416 pages and is published (like every other sci-fi book) by Del-Ray Publishing.

I know for one that I will definitely be picking this up. The first book was fantastic, and I was so excited to learn she was writing a trilogy, and that the second book was already so close!
