It's going to be a rockin' weekend with the GH III Play and Win "Rock Your Party" Sweepstakes! All weekend long you have a chance to win some prizes as you rock out with Guitar Hero III. There is more than 900 prizes being given away this weekend, not including the grand prize package which includes an Xbox 360 Elite a 50'' LG 1080P flat panel television.

This weekend will also grant players a chance to play against the Guitar Hero developers and earn the elusive "Meet Your Maker" achievement. The devs will be taking challengers on Sunday, February 3rd from 12:00 - 4:00 (PT). If you are interested, keep an eye out for these gamertags:

As per the normal Play & Win setup, you can be entered into the sweepstakes all weekend long by playing an online multiplayer match. First, however, you must register your gamertag. This time, however, it can be done one of two ways: First, by registering your gamertag by going here and clicking on the "Register your gamertag now" link. Or, and much easier, by downloading the free Xbox Live Rock Your Party picture pack from the Xbox Live Marketplace. Downloading this picture pack automatically registers your gamertag to be eligible for the sweepstakes.

I may have to convince my boy to let me borrow Guitar Hero III so I can shred it up this weekend before classes resume next week. See you on stage!
