Error Reading Disc

Has Anyone had a problem with a game being read ? Unable to read disc. I just bought the new MLB 2K9 and i've only had it for a week or so. It's already in the trash. Message kept popping up. Same thing with Fable 2. Game froze on me constantly for no reason. Then xbox has the nerve to charge me for a problem i have no control of.

really?
No, its just that the 360 knows better than to let anyone play it. If you're a hardcore baseball fan you'll kill yourself

the only thing i can tell you to do is what i did. replace my disk drive. match up your drive with a new one that is still sealed on ebay or some such site. they usually come with opening tools, and if you warranty is voided, screw it right? you payed for it. thats how i looked at it, now my box does what i tell it to with what i put into it lol
the only other more expensive thing to do is pay the money grubbing losers at microsoft to fix your box for you.
sorry bro, but drives go out alot on 360's.
just trying to help ^_^

fable 2 froze on me the entire time I tried to find the warrants in the beginning so on a forum it said to download the game to the harddrive and run it off that and it worked perfect!!!!
now if all the games keep doing it and after you put it in your xbox 5 times and then it works, it's your disc drive and that's the same thing that happened to me, I just went ahead and sold that p.o.s on eBay and got $100 bucks out of it and just bought a new one since xbox was going to charge me like 100 bucks to fix it, no way!
depending how long you've had it--if it's been along time, i'd go ahead and buy a new one and sell your old one on ebay, I had the one I sold for two years with no problems until the DD messed up.

I know people dont like the warrenty issue with Xbox but like i have always said all you have to do is buy your xbox from best buy. They charge you 30-50$ depending on which system you buy, and all you have to do when it breaks is bring it right back to them and BAMMMMM you get a brand new one, not a refurbished one.
