It appears that the developer behind these 2 ports closed their doors recently which has led to them being taken off of xbox live marketplace.

Well, this is certainly disappointing news.

Earlier this year, May to be precise, London-based developer/publisher Empire Interactive shut their doors. They didn't have the greatest catalog of titles, but they did have one or two items of interest on their resume: Specifically, the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of Double Dragon (and a game called Speedball 2).

The unfortunate news is that, seemingly as a result of their closing, BeefJack reports that both titles have been removed from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Those who have downloaded either title previously can still do so again if need be, thanks to Account Management, but new purchases are no-go.



I kinda wish there would have been a bit of forewarning since I own Double Dragon but don't own Speedball 2.
