Will I have any need for my Halo 3 disc for multiplayer if I have Halo 3 ODST? I know I'll need Halo 3 for achievements specific to that disc, but won't all my multiplayer content be accessible from ODST?

Yes, ODST comes with two disks, one is the complete ODST campaign with firefight and the other is the complete halo 3 multiplayer with every halo 3 map release +3 new ones.

Hm, this interests me; I was wondering the same exact question, as far as how the multiplayer would work with ODST, and how I would get the new maps over to Halo 3.

We will have to see but what I'm thinking is that the second disc is just like the disc that they put out for halo 2 for people who didn't have live back in the day.
Now that disc just had the maps that you would download onto your xbox but you still needed the Halo 2 disc in order to play the new maps. That is what I think is coming with the Halo 3 ODST game
