Best TV For Gaming!! !! !! !!

Probably not the right forum to post this subject but I read some other threads in this forum, and I enjoyed reading from the people that have been posting threads in this forum....did that come out right?! haha.

I just finished playing MASS EFFECT and was about to start playing the Bring Down The Sky mission.....and than..my television totally crapped out on me. So now I am having to head to the store relatively soon so I can maintain my xbox fix, haha.

My question is, what would be a good television to get? I'm looking in the ranges of 50 to 60 inches (I have been saving up LONG for this moment for a long time

but I dont know about the different brands out there, or when they talk about pixels, or about LCD, HDTV, Projection screens, blah blah blah blah I just always felt that "bigger is better"

Can anyone give me some help on brands? What types are good what types are not? That kind of stuff

I prefer a decent 32" HDTV. If you look around enough you and get some pretty decent deals. I play alot of FPS games and anything bigger would have me looking in too many directions at once...heh bringing down the sky...that was fun while it lasted..all 60 mins of it XD.

Yeah...I made this thread when I first started this site...I bought my buddies tv last week....my room might LOOK like I have enough room...but i dont....I had to move back in with the family to help take care of my grandmother.
When she passes away I will move back out and have my big ole tv

I can sleep with my eyes open...I havent mastered the sleeping standing up yet....lol

Lol, I bought a 65'' Mitsubishi TV last year; same one you have, just a little smaller. They came out with the 73'' model like a month after I bought mine, but I got a sweet deal on it so I couldn't be upset. Anyways, last night was the first night that its been really hot around here; about 80 degrees during the day yesterday. Let me just say that I had no idea how much fn heat that thing gives off. It's a bonified heater, in addition to being a TV. Still, I wouldn't part with it for anything

I play on a 62in Sony HDTV or a 40in LG HDTV. Both are fine but I like the bigger one better, sniping is easier

i play on a 32" sharp aquos lcd tv. it's the biggest tv i can fit inside my entertainment center but the picture is incredible. i know there are definite benefits to larger screen tv's especially when playing fps's. from my experiences, lcd's usually have less video lag than dlp's and plasma's depending on the resolution,contrast ratio, and the games graphics. also, plasma tv's lifespan isn't the greatest as was true with the earlier dlp's (light engine would fail after about a year of use-get the extended warranty)but big lcd's are very costly-my 32" cost $1500.00 plus tax plus $350.00 for a 3 year extended warranty. 60" and up lcd- upwards of $5000.00 for a quality brand.

yeah and when i was in the look out for a new tv...i was told that if you get a plasma screen tv that the health bar in your games, would end up being burned into the screen. Thats what one of the guys at best buy told me...i dont know if its true or not but it was enough for me not to take a chance with it.
