that happened to my xbox twice all i do is put different discs in turn it off and on and thn it works..its odd . it pops up out of nowhere havent had it happen in 4 months now

I fixed mine when it started doing this. It was actually really easy. The hardest part was taking the shell apart. After that, it was just a tiny set screw that levels the laser eye. I adjusted that, turned it on and I haven't had a single problem since. I took about 25 minutes. Twenty of it was taking it apart.

Its funny you say that cause I have a "semi-old" pro and it makes that clicking sound and wont open the tray. It also wont read most games and as wierd as it is it tends to be any CoD. I bought a new one and just want to fix this so it may work later on.

Have you tried CALLING 1-800-4MY-XBOX? My Elite quit reading discs in mid-December, I sent it to xbox, it was back by Xmas. I still had a month on my 1 year warranty, fortunately.
