It's season seven. Watching the whole season from a dvd set is a great way to do it. It's so suspenseful and being able to immediately see what happens next is very satisfying.

A couple friends and I casually mentioned the possibility of watching all six seasons (and the 7th if we can somehow get a hold of it) in six days. It'll probably never happen, but I'd love it if it did.

No, I meant in the same room.

Season 1 is definitely good but it's not the best. I would recommend you still start there though to develop your perceptions of the characters and the back story.
