The ant works hard in the summer to prepare for winter. The grasshopper does not. Winter comes and the grasshopper has nothing. Desperate, he elects a president who promises to spread the wealth around. The grasshopper gets fat off of the ant's assets while the ant is depressed and resentful. The next summer all the ants stop preparing their homes and storing food and instead join the grasshoppers, singing & dancing all day. Next winter, w/ nobody left to exploit, they all die of cold & hunger.
