Sega of America San Franciso Closing

"Moving forward, SEGA will continue to pursue external development opportunities all over the world and will continue to grow the renowned SEGA brand."



Another part of a game development company closes it's doors recently laying off more gaming employees. This is the part of the SEGA of America Corporation that is in development of Iron Man 2 based after the upcoming title. This is meaning that [url=http://www.sega.com/?t=EnglishUSA]SEGA of America[/url] is more turning into a publisher than a developer and is helping getting more Smaller Game Studios into the market with lesser than known games.

I doubt they will quit making games. Sure they are affected by the economy in all that. But they are a big Company...so that just means they break off their weak links to save money. San Francisco must be that weak link. Like Mudkip said...they are just making a game off a summer block buster. They are not the heart of sega.

stop cranking out shit-awful Sonic games and lame movie tie ins!

Couldn't agree more! I just avoided the latest sonics as they were reviewed so poorly. I played Golden Compass, Iron Man, and Hulk for achievements, all of them were subpar.

I was a big genesis/megadrive fan (even had a Sega CD) and I hate to see Sega have sunk so low. They should do some more compilations of their classic games. It's a license for them to print money.
