Dead Rising 2 set to feature Coop Campaign
Whilst screens so far have pointed at the title moving to a Casino location this, in fact, is actually housed within a large Mall itself – much like the original title.
Probably of most interest to all is the introduction of the added functionality of drop-in co-op support throughout the entire single player campaign allowing you to play alongside a friend, which is accompanied by the addition of a new save system that will provide the player with multiple save slots. This will therefore allow the option of saving a separate playthrough with a friend, whilst slicing your way through another in single player.
However the co-operative element isn’t central to the title either, with the second player adopting an anonymous role rather than one that is incorporated within the titles plot.
Alongside this there is apparently a new interactive combo/ environment kills system that replaces having to take photos with a camera to gain EXP, this means that you can concentrate on slaughtering zombies in a variety of ways rather than trying to catch them at a photogenic moment.
Dead Rising 2 is due out on August 31st in North America, with a European release on September 3rd."
