Id's Rage will look worse on 360 than PS3

According to the inventor of the game Doom, John Carmack say that his upcoming FPS titled Rage will look worse on the Xbox 360 than it will on the Playstation 3 due to compression to put the game on two discs instead of three on the 360. It seems that it's better to cut graphics to them because it costs more to put the game on three discs, Carmack insists that it has nothing to do with the 360s hardware only a storage problem. With that said I'm left with one question if the graphics aren't going to be up to the standards they should be on the 360 why even release it on the console?

iD is an amazing company, and even if the graphics aren't BioShock or GOW, the gameplay will not dissapoint. iD = Best/Most Innovative gaming company EVER. After all, they practically INVENTED the FPS genre.

Carmack and id are a bunch of has beens. I saw this story the other day and i'll say the same thing.....Who freakn' cares!!! They think the whole gaming world is just waiting on their next game. Maybe they should not focus so much on the best graphics and more on the game play. It's funny that they even think their still a major player. As the old saying goes "What have you done for me lately" In their case NOT MUCH!!!

I don't like your tone... I love id. And just because they aren't the most productive company doesn't mean their bad... EVERY GAME THEY EVER MADE was amazing (IMHO). Quake 4 is my favorite game ever. So due to my opinion, I think that their next games (Rage, Doom 4, Wolfenstein, and HOPEFULLY Quake 5 if they make one). And any company that invents a genre should be given some respect... but you have your opinion and I have mine, so I'll leave it at that.
