GTA IV may support 16-person MP

Games.net reporting that a Canadian based website spoke with a rep for Rockstar games who talked quite highly of including multiplayer for up to 16 players. The conversation took place at the PlayStation Holiday Preview Event in Toronto. Also the official pointed out that Rockstar may include all levels to be playable from the beginning instead of requiring them to be unlocked. As always Rockstar was unavailable for comment.
