Call of Duty 6 to Drop in 2009

Despite the fact that Call of Duty: World at War has a.) not only been released yet, but b.) hasn't even got a release date, does not stop Activision from announcing that the next installment (after this one) will drop in 2009.

In an earnings conference call last week, Activision Blizzard's CEO, Bobby Kotick confirmed that the 6th title in the Call of Duty series was planned to touch down in 2009 and fans favourite, Infinity Ward will be back at the helm. Boy are we thankful! No offence Treyarch, but you appear to be stood in someone else's shadow

I hope they don't rush it, that's only a year and a half to make it... But I'm not complaining

Well idk, by late 2009 who knows if there will even be modern combat, with the election come up and all.

But yes, cant wait for the next IW game, hopefully i can get in beta again ^.^

I'm pretty sure all the even Call of Duties are handled by Infinity Ward and will all be modern combat. All the odds, handled by Treyarch, will be WWII.

I heard the 2009 title will actually be COD 5. Infinity Ward will make the revolutionary numbered titles. Treyarch will cash in on poor, non-numbered titles.

thye made call of duty 3..that has a number

actually, didnt they make ALL of the COD's? im not 100% sure, but i beleive they made 2 and 3, maybe 1 and the in-between ones (the ones w/ no number but a title)
