This page outlines the official Xbox America moderation policy. All moderators should follow the policy described on this page. In loose, general terms moderators work to ensure members' compliance with Xbox America's Code of Conduct and Terms of Service.
Most moderation will result due to one of the following:
- Intentionally inflammatory remarks
Areas Free from Moderation
Some areas of Xbox America have an expectation of being unmoderated. Comments or actions in these areas will not result in penal action. Exceptions may be made but only by a site administrator.

|Chatroom||Half / Half||The default, main chatroom may be moderated. User-created rooms may not be moderated.|
|Game Library Comments||No|
|Events||Half / Half||Generally, events are not moderated. However, event titles may be moderated, and any official Xbox America events may be moderated.|
|Private Messages||Yes||Private messages will never be read by staff members or subject to moderation. Exception: Penal actions may result from private messages sent to staff members.|
If you feel a moderator has not acted judiciously or has violated this moderation policy, you may appeal through an email to staffreport [at] xboxamerica.com.
