Some people have voiced displeasure with Xbox America's uncertain moderation policy, so I've created something a little more definite.

Shouts won't be moderated.. However, if it gets nasty, then I am sure Jackson will step in. Still though, everyone must live up to the COC and TOS.

Shouts are not moderated because in order to see them you are going into someones else profile. Think of it as going to look for trouble. As long as its off the forums fight all you want. That is the general message.

Regarding Duplicate posts

This is how it pertains: From the COC

Stay on-topic. No one likes to have their thread hijacked and abused. Respect others' threads and try to remain conscious that they too are looking for a positive experience from Xbox America.

If you want to direct them to another thread is one thing, but by bashing them and telling them to search you are going off of their topic.

Be tolerant. Not everyone is looking to get the same thing from their experience at Xbox America and not everyone is used to the same social customs as you. Xbox America is a diverse community and so it is important to respect others even when their demeanours might be irritating.

Even if someones thread irritates you respect other members. We certainly to this with your grinds my gears thread. Speaking of which we never closed down even though there were some before it.

Be considerate. We all want to be able to enjoy Xbox America unmolested. To make this a reality, everyone must always be considerate and respectful to others. Avoid being disruptive and avoid detracting from others' experiences.

One could argue that going into a thread with no intent to keep it on topic is being being disruptive.

The simple message here is to ignore ignore ignore. you want a thread to go away ignore it. If you can't ignore it then PM the person or a staff member if a duplicate thread is bothering you that much.

The new moderation policy is to inform all members of the policy, not to have everyone give ideas on what it should be. We simply wanted to state that duplicate threads are not specific to the moderation policy. WE all appreciate your opinions but this is not the thread for it. Put those in the "What do you want thread" or make a new thread asking for suggestions for the site.

we weren't giving ideas. we were discussing the new mod policy.
discussion is useless here. LMAO.
