I started the game. It apparently picks up right where the first one left off--they have a "recap" video you can watch, but even as you are starting 2 new there is a lot of story stuff right up front.

You immediately have to wade through step-by-step tutorials of all the stuff you do outside of combat, which is like traveling, stocking supplies, managing your tribe, items for heroes, resting, and small role-playing-like sections.

It seemed like half an hour or more of all this before I finally got to the first combat, which still had more tutorials, and then the game crashed on me halfway through.

It seems like a well-made game, almost like a Viking-y XCOM, with a nice art style and presentation, but the pacing for the very beginning is bad. I would much prefer they start you off with some simple combat and build up to the advanced tenets slowly, as well as gradually introducing the tribe management concepts.

I'm going to give it another go tonight and see if I can make it through a full battle without a crash, because the story is pretty interesting and the strategic combat is fun.
