Sweet controller. Love the LEDs. Are you able to repair controllers? ie. For bad right sticks? My silver rotational dpad one failed like 3months after I got it. All I use it for now is for boost sessions or fight games. I would like to use it all the time though. Not having a right stick blows...

Actually, the right stick is the easier of the two. (LS forces you to remove the trigger.) The problem with fixing controllers is once you pay shipping, parts and rework, it's going to cost about $30 to get it back to you repaired. That's almost enough to get a used wireless or so. (I'm a little behind on what they go for now.)
It just kind of seems like controllers aren't cost effective repairs for customers unless the customers are local and not paying shipping. Unless maybe the controller is a special one that has more value.

I decided to change the LEDs in my chatpad to match my console and controller. Next in line is a blue chrome and black paint job for the chatpad so everything matches!

Vinyl dye and acrylic lacquer.
The vinyl dye actually soaks into the plastic instead of coating like paint. If you let it cure for a week, you can skip it down your driveway without taking the color off! It's used for coloring shoes and car interior plastics. I know a lot of bikers use it on their seats and it lasts through hard riding and sun baking!

I know a guy who used to do full customization on cars and he swore by vinyl dye for interiors, especially faux leather. The pliability of leather meant that regular paint just isn't an option. It works on all plastics though. I don't really use it on consoles because they aren't handled much, but controllers are necessary!
I do very thin layers. You can barely see the tint after the first two coats. I don't wait more than about 3 minutes between coats. I end up with about 6-8 coats (depending on what color I'm going from/to) and then let it set for ~24 hours. Then I wet sand with 2000 grit or higher, wash it with dish soap and let it dry completely. Then I do 1 or 2 heavy coats and let it set for AT LEAST 24 hours.
At this point, if I'm not clear coating, It shouldn't be touched for 3 days to a week. I'll clear coat with acrylic lacquer after 1 day though. That should be completely set in another day.
I hate how long it takes to do them, but if you want it to look good, it is definitely worth being patient and doing it right!
