A little short notice, I realize, but Josh Olin, community manager of Treyarch, has announced on his Twitter recently that the second map pack for Call of Duty: World at War is set to be released Thursday, June 11th. That's right, all of you COD fans wanting to mix it up can do so TOMORROW!
Olin added the date to the end of two of his recent Twitter updates, reading "Map Pack 2 available 6/11/09!" 2009 is certainly the year of DLC! And that's not all; in celebration of this pack, Microsoft is hosting a Call of Duty: World at War LIVE week from Thursday, June 11th until Wednesday, June 17th. The new Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack Two expands the multiplayer experience with three new multiplayer maps and one new co-op/Zombie map. Battle to control the river bridge in Banzai, a bright jungle map featuring a waterfall and hidden caves. In Corrosion, face down your enemy in a shattered train yard, and in Sub Pens wipe the monsoon rain from your eyes as you struggle over a bombed-out submarine base. The Zombies make a return in Shi No Numa (Zombie Swamp) featuring Perk machines, the deadly new Wunderwaffe DG-2, new Achievements, and flaming Hell Hounds.
